yes, these are different days. Trndez is more pagan, though there is a special service in church. The word "trndez" probably comes from "ter ynd dzez". I don't understand why we shoudn't have non-armenian names. This artificial cleaning of languge is not good at all. Sometimes it's funny to hear herachos or hamakargich when the whole world uses telephone or computer. Nairi even if you are angry, it's not good to say that kind of phrases...
