Sasun hargelis, it's not my view, Genocide is and always will remain a very delicate and emotional issue for majority of us, you said it, a wise decision to sand by, and why does Diaspora-Armenia relations has to be based solely on the genocide issue anyway? There is presently crucial elements presents, such as economy, fight against corruption, for All Armenians, Armenian government can not, and should not take a stand (genocide recognition), and I do fill like we (I) in Diaspora should have more then a critical approach to our presents situation.

Vava jan, while you think about it, I want to add one more question to the chain. whouldent it help?
-
It has been the stand of a current (and previous) government of ROA, in which in many occasions the president stated, we as a country, Armenia has no territorial clams from Turkey, however it is also and mentioned by the president, Armenia can not represent the Diaspora (all Armenians), although the issue in hand is a hot topic in all circles and levels of an Armenian nation, whether ROA is a lending voice for all Armenia remains to be debated (unfortunately). What Domino is saying, I guess, why does genocide had to be represented as a national policy (ROA). It has a moral issue rather then political.

I don’t know what to make of it Vava to tell you the truth, perhaps it belongs to an Art section? In case if someone would take an offence Just a thought

Armo, nothing is final!!! If you got no kids and you are miserable and not loving your wife then I would pack my belongings and get out to start all over again but this time you'll make the decisions!Life is too short to die miserable! I'll drink to that
-
You understood correctly Domino What I was referring to was, wile I was staying in Montreal I was able to watch PBS, NOVA, on regular TV broadcasts, to be exact, WETK-DT ->PBS-VPT - Burlington (Chittenden) VT

Armo you are in a path of becoming a philosopher. Unless you chose not to become one, pardon me, but I couldn’t help reading your post, how old are you if you don’t mind asking? Sound like you are in your early 20? I just hope there are no kids involved in your marriage. But listening to your hart not always leads you to the right path in life. Take care and try to find something common with your spouse. Good luck to you

Seapan I dont know what you are talking about dude

Hmm, punishment?? What punishment, who said anything about punishment? Oh brother, I hope none of you ppl are calling child abuse hotline. No seriously Seapan, he is a wonderful kid, I’m kind of jelios at him, I wish I had the father he has, as for x-mass we are going to Boston, for this past summer we went to Maui, next , its Italy and Spain, come now I can’t be that bad of a father?. can I? Mp3 player? He had that 4 years ago, No Sep Jan he’s got a set of Yamaha drums now, and a good teacher, me, his own band, and writes his lyrics for his own music, what more could a child want? I guess more of my attention, in this hectic life, between us working our buds off, taking care of sick father and a failing business, its ok for a gUy like me to get frustrated when he receives a warning from principal at school,(he goes Armenian private) I'm proud oo my son, and in time I will post hs poetry here, he started writhing at the age 6 by the age 11 he was published in Armenia, as young Armenian in America.

Yes Vava, I agree, that’s why I had the guilty conscience all day. Unfortunately I (we) should devote more quality time, attention to our kids, and time which is so hard to come by now days.

I got angry at my son last night for taking his walkman to school, today all day I felt guilty and came across this. There is just one way to bring up a child in the way he should go, and that is to travel that way yourself. -- Abraham Lincoln

Sasun, Seapan I think if we look at the soviet Union, then we must also look at our entire history, the causes are many, we rarely had our own government, we were always subject to a foreign rule and “laws” Vast majority of our countryman don’t believe in any kind of law. Lets take for instance an Armenian who came here 25 years ago, is he changed? I would say yes, at list vast majority of it, I remember when we came to LA, all we got back then from our fellow Armenians was cold shoulder and disgust, I know the problem is deep rutted, Martin in his article has expressed it right. We are no deferent then others, fundamentally all humans have thirst for morality and law in order. It is just a matter of time.

Ok here is another must see for you "MYSTIC RIVER" Sean Peen was great, so was the movie, check it out Daniel Day Lewis is one of my respected actors of all time, so diverse and creative. Last temptations I think is among (aren’t they all?) Scorcesies best works, you’ll love the soundtrack!! There was a bid controversy from various religious (Christian) establishments in this country, well after you watch it you’ll know why.
-
I just want to Add, typical Marin Scorsese movie, intense, graphic, one I mostly watched this movie because of him, and I do agree with your wife it was a bit too much blood. Never less a great movie. Thoth did you see his "LAST TEPMTATIONS OF CRIST" ?

Hello guys and gals, I thought we start the Monday with a bit of a humor Four Jewish brothers left home for college. They became successful doctors, and lawyers and prospered. Some years later, they chatted after having dinner together. They discussed the gifts that they were able to give to their elderly mother who lived far away in another city. The first said, "I had a big house built for Mama." The second said, "I had a hundred thousand dollar theater built in the house." The third said, "I had my Mercedes dealer deliver her an SL600 with chauffeur." The fourth said, "Listen to this. You know how Mama loved reading the Torah. And you know, too, she can't read anymore because she can't see very well. I met this Rabbi who told me about a parrot that can recite the entire Torah. It took twenty rabbis twelve years to teach him. I had to pledge to contribute $100,000 a year for twenty years to the temple. Let me tell you...it was worth it. All Mama has to do is name a chapter and verse and the parrot will recite it." The other brothers were impressed. After the holidays Mama sent out her Thank You notes. She wrote: Milton, The house you built is so huge. I live in only one room, but I have to clean the whole house. Thanks anyway. ****************** Marin, I am too old to travel. I stay home, I have my groceries delivered, so I never use the Mercedes...and the driver you hired is a Nazi. The thought was good. Thanks. ****************** Menachim, You give me an expensive theater with Dolby sound, it could hold 50 people, but all my friends are dead, I've lost my hearing and I'm nearly blind. I'll never use it. Thank you for the gesture just the same. ****************** Dearest Melvin, You were the only son to have the good sense to give a little thought to your gift. The chicken was delicious. Thank you, Mama
