Armenian cities and leaders?

Hello,

 

I would like to include the Armenians as a nation in the freeciv game.

 

But for that I need a list of about 40 major Armenian cities in decreasing order, as well as some names of important Armenian leaders in history. I don't want to include only the cities of today's Republic of Armenia, but also the ones of ancient Armenia.

 

Could someone help me out with either such a list or a map of ancient Armenia, where many cities are shown? But the map has to be in latin alphabet, because I can't read Armenian alphabet.

 

And I need the names of important historical or contemporary leaders of the Armenian nation, too.

ARE there 40 "cities" in Armenia today, given the number of people who have left? How many people must a town have before it becomes a city? At least 100,000 people, I would think?

Cities/towns in the Republic of Armenia, though not in any particular order, except North to South:

 

1. Akhurian, Gyumri, Vank, Stepanavan, Alaverdi, Noyemberian, Dilidjan, Idjevan

2. Artik, Talin, Hankavan, Hrazdan, Dzaghkadzor, Sevan, Krasnoselsk, Gavar,

3. Arzni, Byurakan, Ashrtarak, Echmiadzin, Hoktemberian, Yerevan, Geghard, Garni, Vardenis, Martuni

4. Eghegnadzor, Sisian, Vedi, Artashat

5. Goris, Kapan, Meghri, Kadjaran

 

Maybe others may add more.
