hi there... just wanted some remarks on the situation im in and was curious if this only always happens to me or is this typical....

i always end up being "forgotten" by some friends.... heres the situation...

my best best friend for about 8 years has recently gotten into a relationship, and when she often does, she forgets she has friends-- particularly ME-- i mean im very happy for her- but when things are going well with her boyfriend- she doesnt call as often and never bothers to c how her friends are doing- BUT when she has problems with her boyfriend-- who does she come runing to at 3 am? who does she call at 5 am? hmmmm lets think? dont get me wrong here- we've always been there for eachother through thick and thin- but lately i feel like she doesnt care unless she realy needs something-for god's sake this whole weekend i have seriously put EVERYTHING aside and took care of her and her problems- i had finals to study for and a HUGE paper to finish- but thought it would be wrong for me not to take her in during the middle of the night when she had nowhere to go-- for 3 days ive been dealing with her issues-- which i chose to do voluntarily- as ill say again- id do this for any of my close friends-- but my point here is that after 2 days- when she knew i was going through alot myself with being at the hospital and having to go to the doctor- she never once asked how i was doing or what happened with me-- i just feel sooooooo hurt by this that now that things are okay with her relationship- she fails to remember me or even care--

alot of people have told me this- that im way too nice to certain friends and that they take advantage of me- but i dont see it as just niceness- its a part of being a friend and careing-- but what happens if the other person doesnt give a crpa about you anymore>? when they only call you when youre needed? ... i guess i just have to wait until the next time something goes wrong and see if i want to help or not...

what do you guys think?

gamavor... jealous of what? please dot say that because thats soo not the case-- i havenothing to be jealous of- her bf mistreating her is not something to be jealous or envious of sweetie- id rather be alone my whole life than have someone treat me like he does her

If this is indeed the case, then she is no friend - full stop. If one of my own close friends was in a hospital, i would MAKE time to go and visit them....and calling is a given.

Good Day!!!

You just had to put that in here didnt you ..lol. I love this girl :).. um msounds familiar ;)

Gamavor jan.. i know EXACTLY what she is saying.. infact angel as soon as you said

,, i didnt even have to read the story.. lol.. but a true friendship is bound to outlast even the times when the friendship seems one sided.. i know dear i know all to well. i think to me its multiplied by atleast every case .. lol.. but there is only one that matters and you will feel that way when you meet him.. for me her ofcourse ;).. i feel that way. its actually very fulfilling!!!.. everyone else kinda becomes.. umm.. secondary.. even though your still with them help them talk to them and all.. still.. u will feel secure with you significant other (lets hope).. lol.. good luck to you with that though.. i try to ignore it most of the time.. sometimes it gets to me i guess.. but only thing i can suggest is to try to be the Big one and endure it :)

I don't think you're jealous at all, sounds like normal case of "girl-forgets-rest-of-world-when-she-finally-gets-a-man" syndrome. Its quite catching and even those females who claim they are immune to it can get it. I'm sure guys do it to, but from my girlfriends I always hear about girls doing this to each other. I think it's from the inclanation of females to dive headlong into relationships and really try and make them work. But they fail to realize they can do both. Have a man and have some sort of social life outside of that. Which we as men usually want our girl to have because if she's totally consumed by you that can lead to issues in the future. Hopefully she will come around is all you can wish. You can maybe straight up tell her about how you feel, I don't know if this is an option in your case however.

I have close friends who have done this to each other when they had boyfriends at seperate times! :P So it does happen quite often, this doesn't make it right however. But if she's a criminal offender in this sense, maybe your best bet is to really talk to her about it.

thanx- those are some good words to follow- i apperciate them much-- its just hard to talk about it because she already has problems and i feel bad making more- so i try to let it fix itself but it always ends up biting me back in th a** again :(
