Sasun
In Sasuns universe he is right, in vigils universe, Vigil is right. Domino, didn't you notice that I was saying about the same thing... every religion is right in its way. The reason I posted in this thread (which I regard a mistake now) was to point out that in order to claim that a certain object doesn't exist one must be absolutely sure that it doesn't exist and not point ones beliefs. Seems like a simple logic right? But it appears it is not. But wait a minute, I am suspecting you will say someting like "the ark exists for some people and doesn't exist for others, both are right...". Well, I would have a problem understanding it - an ark either exists or not, there is no other way OK, maybe I am exaggerating, but what does the grand Domino think? DominO123
an ark either exists or not, there is no other way OK, maybe I am exaggerating, but what does the grand Domino think? Actualy, the ark exist and not at the same time. Remember my speed and position analogy? The observer and what are observed are dependent one from the other, each influence eachothers. If you have in mind that the ark exist, there is more chances you find it, then if you have in mind that it does not exist. Because if you have in mind it does not exist, what you will be trying to do is to prove its non-existance. The possibility of its existance you do not accept... you therefore influence the results here. Every universes exist, a universe where the ark exist, exist. You just decide or refuse to live in it. Sasun
Eh Domino, you never change Every universes exist, a universe where the ark exist, exist. You just decide or refuse to live in it. I am not worried about other universes Domino, my question is about our universe. So what do you say, does the ark exist or not? Oh, and Domino, according to the Bible the ark was not a quantum size object, so the observed doesn't depend on the observer.

So what do you say, does the ark exist or not? But Sasun, there is no "our" universe. We change universes constantly, unstop, based on our belief. So the ark exist and does not exist in the same time.

Yeh, but the particules that the ark is made of are Sasun.

OK, I had forgotten about how the theory works Since we are on the subject, can you tell me when was the first time that it was known/proposed in science that there is no solid objects in the universe, everything in the universe consists of vibrations. I mean, it's been quite some time that we have known the atoms are not solid but cloudy things, but when did we actually learn that the electrons and other particles that make the atomic cloud are not themselves solid either. They are also cloudy things, and it goes all the way to the string theory. OK, so I guess my question breaks down to "Did physicists know before the string theories that everything in the universe is a vacuum consisting of only vibrations of energy?" Sasun
Are you talking about the aether Sasun? I am talking about string theory Domino When was it hypotheisized for the first time that the unvierse consists of strings, i.e. vibrations? I have found something interesting and it is important to know the time of when physicists started to think that there is no solid matter. P.S. As far as I understand, eather doesn't mean there is no solid matter, it just says there is eather and there are also solid things in the universe. DominO123
I know that the string theory emerged in 1968, but the mathematical bases predate it.
Sasun
I know that the string theory emerged in 1968, but the mathematical bases predate it. OK, thanks Domino. I am talking about physics only. I will post something interesting when I have time. But do you agree that there are is no solid matter? Everything that we think is solid is in fact vibrations in a vacuum.

COSSACK1
OK, thanks Domino. I am talking about physics only. I will post something interesting when I have time. But do you agree that there are is no solid matter? Everything that we think is solid is in fact vibrations in a vacuum. P.S. I know these are off-topic, I will split the thread later on it all depends on who you are...if you're a Foton then yes, you just fly through vibration keeps things together....for sure. is dark matter solid? Sasun
it all depends on who you are...if you're a Foton then yes, you just fly through vibration keeps things together....for sure. is dark matter solid? In modern physics as you go deep inside matter nothing seems to be solid. In very small sizes there are no particles but quantum states of energy. Stormig
I look forward to the day they'll find the one true Trojan horse. Then we can go back to believing it was Hellen whose face summoned a thousand fleets that caused the war and not the usual myth of economic necessity (pillaging). gamavor
I look forward to the day they'll find the one true Trojan horse. If Homer was able to see the latest American Cinematographic invention – Troy, he would probably rock' n' roll in his grave.
