Thus, Artsax has never been of part of the Armenian state, which was established in Asia, far from South Caucasus.

I would not worry about what the Azeris and Turks claim about their history even Azeris are not sure of their own origions.Albanians had nothing to do with Azeris who are persian+Turkish+Khazar+Kurdish mixture.Read some of their intelectuals even their historians claim that there is no link between Albanians and present Azeris.Their typical whinning is well typical you should relax and ignore this kinds of pure amatourish propaganda.

I just ran across an article that I had had for quite sometime.

In the Winter 1993-94 edition of World Policy Journal magazine we find an article written by Mark A. Uhlig, a one time corrspondent to he NYT, The Artsax War.

The article is mainly a description of the ongoing war at the time where the capture and opening of the Lachin Corridor and the capture of Agdam are featured. The writer in his subtle ways cannot hide his bias and sympathy to the Armenian cause. (I wish I could find the entire article on the internet). The concluding segment, subtiled "the Empire Strikes Back" of the article says it in a prophetic manner, not much different from of many of our debates here, where we remember long arguments with Ali Suat (Aurguplu)who, in re of resolution of the Genocide saga and return of lost territories, and my use of the phrase "in kind" finally succumbed and bared his fangs so to speak with "what is lost to the sword can oly be regained by the sword". True!! What seems to be good for the goose is also good for the gander.

Getting back to the said article, among other memorable quotes such as Stalin's reversal and his reassigning Artsakh and Nakhijevan to Azeri control.... etc we read;

"Understandably disturbed by the widening implications of the Artsax conflict, the US and other Western powers have reacted by condemning recent gains by Artsax forces, and demanding that Armenia accept a return to the enclave's status as an Azeri territrory. Acting through the so called Minsk Group of the OSCE, Western powers have based.....skip....For all its legalistic appeal, however, that approach does nothing to cure the inherent instability of NK's Soviet imposed boundaries and, after five years of bloodshed, has little hope of altering a political landscape that has been fundamentally transformed by war."

Is there a concerted efforts on the web or book publication in refuting the absurd Azari claims specially that the Artsagk Armenian monuments were “Azeri Albanian” they even claim Ganzasar as Albanian.

We must fight this extreme distortions point by point before some naïve westerners digest this claims as facts.

Anyone knows anything about this?
