If you go to the bottom of the page, they have all the final results along with the additional index number. Although I don't know what that is. Maybe somebody can explain?

HAKOBYAN BECAME THE BEST IN GIBRALTAR

[08:10 pm] 01 February, 2007

Levon Aronyan's success in the Wijk aan Zee chess

tournament t was immediately followed by Vladimir

Hakobyan's victory. The latter has become the winner

of the Gibraltar chess tournament with 7.5 points.

Hakobyan beat his rival Sakolov in the previous round

thus becoming the leader of the tournament. In the

last 9th round Hakobyan played with Kuzubov and beat

him in the 23rd step, thus moving up to the first

place.

By the way, at the beginning of the tournament

Hakobayan was beaten by Irina Krush and seemed to be

far from the victory. But the Armenian chess player

could regain his losses in the next rounds. The

tournament was held by the Swiss model, that's to say,

only the rivals having equal points met in each round.

ARONYAN TIED WITH LEKO

*

article's photo

It is already the forth time Armenian grand master Levon Aronyan has tied the meeting in the chess super tournament Morelia-Linares.

Aronyan’s rival in the 4th round was Leko. The meeting was tied in the 18th step. Taking into account the fact that Leko is in close relationship with his Armenian counterparts (Leko’s wife is the daughter of Arshak Petrosyan, the coach of the Armenian team), the outcome of the meeting was quite logical.

Topolov also tied with Swidler in the 4th round. The leader of the tournament Anand beat Morozevich with white draughts. The meeting Ivanchuk-Karlsen was rather surprising as Karlsen beat Ivanchuk with black draughts.

Currently, Anand tops the fixture table with three points. Karlsen is in the second place with 2.5 points. Aronyan, Swidler, Ivanchul and Leko share the third place with two points each.

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Armenian chess player Levon Aronian defeated the World Champion Vladimir Kramnik 4-2 in a fine display of active play, tactics, and execution. After losing the first game, the young Armenian reeled off three wins in a row, and then held a dramatic game 5 draw to win the match.

In game 5, Aronian came out fighting. Needing only one draw in two games to wrap up the match (leading 3-1 after the 1st 4 games), Aronian played an unorthodox opening, emerging with a precarious position out of the opening. He defended well, secured the draw, and in doing so, won the match.

In the sixth game Kramnik was unable to capitalize on a promising position, and the game spiraled into a wild finish where no one was able to predict any moves, and any of three results (1-0, 1/2/-1/2, or 0-1) was possible. The final drawn position resembled a study-like position, with white’s menacing pawns counterbalancing black’s queen. The final result, 4-2, was a well-deserved victory for the Armenian number one.

Aronian beats Carlsen with Black, and Grischuk beats Malakhov in the day’s other decisive game, whilst the other six games are drawn after hard battles. Playchess was there to broadcast the action, on what Nigel Short might be tempted to describe as a day of peripatetic potentates.

Carlsen-Aronian was a great start for the Black player. Aronian equalized comfortably from the opening, and soon had some initiative, with his pressure down the f-file.
