America-Hye
Koko, Pleae don't simplify Jesus' interaction with Judaism. He remained a Jew until his corporal body died. His brother, James, who lead the Jerusalem Church (present location in Armenian Quarter) until he was killed in 66 AD, always considered himself a Jew. Ditto for all the followers of Christ who settled in historic Armenia until they were turned them into Armenian Christians along with all the other pagans and Zoroastrians in Armenia. koko
Jesus may have been jewish, but that doesnt change the fact that but the New testamente is in straight contradicion to the Old testament. And jesus rebelled against the jewish community in the new testament, or am i wrong? <_< Edited April 4, 2004 by koko
America-Hye
Jesus was trying to reform Judaism, to purify it from the way it was being practiced. What we need today is the return of Jesus to purify the churches who carry his name. While the abuse of children is not found in Armenian Churches as it is in the Catholic Church, both practice influence peddling. Do you go to church on Sunday to pray or to show off your new clothes?
