Sad Love Story

On a sunny spring day of 2001 Liana and her sister were walking along the Abovian street of Yerevan when an Australian-Armenian Henrik Melik-Vardanian approached them and started chatting with the girls. He invited the sisters for a cup of coffee, and asked the girls to show his brother Emil Melik-Vardanian the sights of Armenia. The girls gave their consent, and upon Emil’s arrival in Armenia several days later their friendship started.

One day Emil tells Liana that they have to undergo medical examination. Liana gets surprised at this request, for before coming to Australia, her and Emil did visit doctors and underwent all the necessary examinations that a to-be couple should undergo in Armenia proper. Anyway, as she was the bride and ought to listen to her husband, Liana and Emil again go to see different doctors. Liana once again gets examined, and, what’s more, during one of the examinations, a liquid was extracted from her spine (presumably spinal cord). The “operation” was very painful, and several days after it Liana feels very weak and dizzy.

ok first of all didn't her parents ever tell her not to talk to strangers? lol

and 2nd of all how stupid does one have to be not to question about something they have no idea about before agreeing to do it? doesn't make any sense!

just because she was the bride she had to listen? didn't she get suspicious? i mean if her husband told her to jump off the 7th floor she'd do it because she was "the bride"? <_<

so yeah girls in armenia should start reading something (instead of watching brazilian soap operas) to at least have some idea about life, medicine, etc!
