Sip
Although I could make about a million jokes here ... I am going to be serious. I think the main point is that dogs give you UNCONDITIONAL love. There is no strings attached and they don't want or expect anything in return ... they just love you no matter what and are extremely loyal. Other than that, I do agree with you that comparing women to pets is rather rediculous.
nairi
There is no strings attached and they don't want or expect anything in return ... Yeah they do. How about having to get up early in the morning on a cold Canadian day to take the whiner out for a walk? Or simply remembering to feed it? I also doubt the unconditionality of dogs. They have feelings too, you know You treat them bad enough, they'll run away. Maral, maybe your friend wanted women to be more like men, hence the comparison with dogs... den_wolf
Dogs are loyal . . . unlike some women (and men)? hmm.. lol Maral, maybe your friend wanted women to be more like men, hence the comparison with dogs... Haha, Nairi, that was a good one!!
Maral
Ed,ok I guess I didn't think of it like that...found it quite insulting at first...still think they meant more then the best friend part! SIP,uncondition love?maybe... NAIRI,BRILLIANT answer!
den_wolf
What's with all the negativity towards men on here? (right, you're gonna say it's humour, but a lot of it doesn't seem to be humorous at all . . .)
vava
Yeah they do. How about having to get up early in the morning on a cold Canadian day to take the whiner out for a walk? Or simply remembering to feed it? I also doubt the unconditionality of dogs. They have feelings too, you know You treat them bad enough, they'll run away. Nairi - my thoughts exactly!! Although the weather these days ain't so cold... Dogs DO love unconditionally however... even owners who beat their dogs get undeserved love and affection...BTW No dog should ever be treated badly... even if they're the needy whiner type. My puppy loves me to death, and I'm quite certain that if I was in danger, he wouldn't hesitate to protect me, even at his own peril. That's loyalty. CheekY
how can we be more like dogs when (most)men are already like them?
gevo27
well, whatever he meant by saying women should be more like dogs, i dont think it was a good thing, yeah sure dogs are loyal bla blah lah.. but still, if he meant it that way, then he wants a woman who cant talk back, a sponge!! lol.. now, that is old fashioned armenian men mentality.. And, yes.. we must refrain from the jokes sadly! lol

gevo27
GEVO ayo, i think it was insulting, no matter how the guy tries to rationalyze it and make it sound better or "good" lol.. yeah right.. thats a stupid comparison, maybe maybeeeeeee we can compare some behaviors of humans to animals, and some similarities in physical features... but i mean, really.. i dont think i wanna be compared to something that ages 7 times faster, u have to spend a month to teach it how to sit, and something that has no general idea of what the heck it is, or where it is.. LOl.. tesar maral jan, mek mekel gevon@l ah chist ban asum lol.. katak@ meyan, es koghmits lav em...

Stormig
Frederick the Great is related to have said, "The more I know men, the more I like dogs." So it can't apply to women.
Error 404
When I was in Hamburgs Sankt Pauly red light district. Before you enter the area the banner says "No Woman and No Dogs" but in german. So the "Dog" could not mean "Hot Dog" it meant a real dog. I still can't understand why they put that banner over there. Any suggestions?
