With the exception of younger new generation Armenian singers.. Why do Armenians have to have the MOST cheesiest Music Videos?!?!? They usually got a psychedelic background with flashing disco lights and the Singers are doing a terrible job lip-syncing and usually dressed in a funky green suit with a pink bow tie..

Same reason that our commericals suck too-Money-You got money you can hire talented artists, pruducers to put a quality pruduct out.If you don't then your next door nighber comes in handy.

To borrow a reply I made to you in another posting "An appreciation of beauty and good taste and what is right and what is wrong does not require money". Add creativity to that list. OK, you can buy creativity, or rather buy a "look" that might appear superficially creative, but the first step in getting creative it is to actually want to be creative.

It's got nothing to do with money. Unfortunately, currently Armenians are experiencing a lack of creativity, intelligence, talent, and the ability to see beauty.

PS. Armenians have the "most cheesiest music videos" is because the music is also "cheesy".

Steve I agree with you but I am assuming these "artists" singers lack the talent to make good or great video and since if you can't do it then hire a proftionals to do it for you.that's all I thought this was very easy to understand.

But Armat, the problem is that those videos are created by so-called professionals. At least they call themselves professionals.

Today, I was watching a music program from the Armenian national television. The guest was one of these music video directors. He claims he's well-known and he's made videos in the U.S and in some countries in Europe. But if you saw his videos and the way he talked was very depressing. The guy (well in his late thirties) couldn't even speak two sentences after each other, and to most questions about why he prefers such and such in a video he just shrugged and said he doesn't know. How pathetic! This is the reality of today's Armenian culture. :(

I don't know about you, but this particular mouse loves to boogy when those disco music videos come on.

Usually its one funky lookin middle eastern singer, and some hot chicks in the background that pretend they are interested in the singer.

"With the exception of younger new generation Armenian singers.."

Thank you atlist for this one :)

The king of the most cheesiest Music Vodeo is Nazo :) The KIng of the Raboz

I do see many positive changes in our music videos, And Anushik jan get a H1 Armenian Satellite TV  you will se more then enough new Music videos that are excellent.

Andre – Horovel

Alla - Hayastan ( The original not the re-mix)

Shushan Depi Yerkir

Anna – Hayreniq

Aramo & Emma – Duet

We can go on and on 

Only 2 weeks a go H1 TV was showing a 60minut long program by Yergi PAri Tratron – something like 20~22 songs !!! well don Excellent job by the singers and Arthur.

time changes se do we and our music Videos

The main Armenian TV studio just got the 3d and Blue Screen equipment 7~8 months a go. I have seen some new nune and Shushan Videos By Hrach that are excellent.

And lets not forget in USA or in abroad war None Armenian producers & Artists make $$$$$$$$$$$ more then the state budget of republic of Armenia is have all the money and the reassures on tear fingertips to work and bring the best of the best to there consumers, wan in our case artists make $$$$ & the poor market, illegally shared / distributed coped product is not making enough money for the production to make a video or atlist something good for you and for me.

The bottom line is if no $ is spend on the product by the consumer, if the stillllllling and illegal shearing going to continue we will not see any good music and or videos soon. So each one of you/us do your part support your artist and the producers. :)

I don't spent much time watching these videos, so I don't remember a lot. But just a few things I want to mention from what I do remember.

Alla - Which one's the original? I remember the one with the hedious hat of fruits she had on. In general, she is always dressed very poorly in her videos and what she chooses to wear does not reflect the song. (Neither does the video.)

Shushan - I love Shushan's singing; she's a very good singer. But the last video I saw of her, the dress that she was wearing looked like a drapery. The close-up scene makes her look like she is naked and just covered in a sheet. Very unprofessional video.

Andre - Is he the guy who's always wearing that traditional hat? I'm not an expert in Armenian clothing but in the video his clothes seem more likely to be Kurdish.

There's a video that I don't remember who's singing. But in the video they have this group of people walking in the desert like lunatics. The old people carry heavy knapsacks while the younger people are just walking with their hands hanging. Also, some of them wear ripped national clothes, while others wear modern clothing. :D What's the meaning of that video?

The music video I saw today was also in poor taste. It was a girl whose song was more Armenian pop than middle eastern: of course, a very good change. But the video was horrible. In one scene you only see the right half of the face with one nostril, and the other scene shows the left part of the face with the second nostril. And she's got her head tilted, so you see this bigh, flat nostril. Back and forth. Back and forth.

And this is supposed to be professional???

Andre :) the hat that your complaining is 100% !!! Armenia, I do have one and I do war it all the time :) it’s made of wool and designs are Armenian Crosses and alphabet, it’s made by the same person who is making Armenia Nuris.

BTW- Charets us to have a Hat just like it, made by Armenians of VAN.

We are not the best :) gave us some more time :) yev muys angam Allayis & Glxarkis ban chases Anushik :) ~

Mosjan, I told you I love Shushan. :) I think she is the best singer in Armenia. She also sings very professionally. What does shooting a scene from a certain angle have to do with how much she weighs?

Alla. Ah, I used to like her until they started showing variations of the same "Hayastan" song. I really got sick of her. And the more I've seen her on talk shows, the more I've realized that she really lacks sense of style and taste. What's so special about her?

Andre, yeah, it's fair. I don't know much about this. But there is definitely something that made me dislike that video. (It was more than a month ago since I saw that music video. When I see it again, I'll tell you exactly what I don't like about that video, whether you want it or not. :P )

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean by watching Nazo's video? Who's Nazo?

I've actually caught a couple of these on the armenian station at my house. Pretty funny(no diss) but not like any other commericals, or videos from groups/people trying to do their things. Like someone said earlier it's about money, sometimes it's just the style. Do you thing some of the singers would change their video styles if they could? Maybe not :) Maybe the just like it like that. :P

Yeah man, but its also thier choice in clothing... I mean common.. At least they can have some style and class.. Though I must admit, I seen cheesy suits worn at Armenian weddings even by the average Armenian as well as the wedding singer.

the music videos I am particularly mentioning is the ones where singer after singer has the same computer imposed funky background... Has anyone seen those? The same background, the whole song, singer after singer. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Yes, I think I know which you're talking about. Music videos like Harut's, right?
