The farmer paid 20,000 yuan ($A3,355) for his arranged marriage only to have her run away from him six days after their wedding, according to the South China Morning Post. He discovered she was a man when he tracked her to a neighbouring town in Fujian province, eastern China. The bogus bride, who came from Yunnan, was arrested last Friday, the newspaper said. Dan Posted January 12, 2004 Report Share Posted January 12, 2004 isn't that one an even bigger deception? haha... that's crazy, eh? you should've seen the Chinese guy in the interview lol... and the son is real, except that it wasn't [of course lol] their son haha... there's a very good movie about that titled M Butterfly, it's great.. i hadn't heard about this story before taking a "concepts of male and female in the west" course. i believe Boursicot lives (if he's still alive) with his male partner.. but he just thought the guy was a female at the time, and was fooled by it... it's a very weird story hmm.. and it really did take place.. I'm sure you know that that story is a total fabrication, it is a fairy tale , no pun intended. Mr. Boursicot was subsequently spotted in North Africa openly living with his same sex partner, and he was eventually arrested for living another life of lies, spying on behalf of China. Dan Posted January 15, 2004 Report Share Posted January 15, 2004 i'm not sure i quite understand what you mean.. it is common knowledge (or belief?) that boursicot at the time did not know (how this is possible, considering their level of intimacy, i do not know, so don't ask me lol), and that he was fooled by that chinese guy who i believe convinced his government that he had to live as a woman in order to get the info from boursicot (i don't know if that has any shade of truth in it, he DOES act kinda gay lol...).. hmm Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
