gurgen
It's pretty buggy though, and it eats a lot of memory. Winamp 5 is supposed to be a lot better.

Sip
I'm using windows media player. Works great. Skit, hope you are checking for viruses often, especially if you are using mirc and stuff like that. I just found one on mine yesterday and I have no idea where it came from Probably something I got on Kazaa.
Dan
windows media player is huge (window-size-wise, that is) -- the new versions anyway, that's why i almost never use it lol I prefer Winamp 2 to that - it's much faster and doesn't eat that much memory. my fav. right now is winamp 5.. and speaking of virii (?), my anti-virus caught two on my laptop today... f-prot is the best anti-v. software ever.
Sip
windows media player is huge (window-size-wise, that is) ... ha ... good point. I never paid attention to that. .... part of being spoiled with a Gig of RAM
Dan
ha ... good point. I never paid attention to that. .... part of being spoiled with a Gig of RAM a gig of ram?!?!?! :crybaby: lol... Winamp 3 eats TONS of mem too, but Winamp 5 is MUCH MUCH better in comparison... As for Real Player (real one, etc.), don't even get me started on that one - I found another converter, but now I can't find the codec. lol... it says I need a dnet (dolbynet) external codec... i have the kazaa lite codec pack, but apparently it's not working... so since this is the help forum anyway, and related to players, formats, etc., hmm, anyone know how i can get my hands on the dolby codec pack or whatever, which supposedly comes with G2 or something? Edit note: Ahh, found the codec!!!! I can now convert .rm to mp3!!! lol, anyone who wants to know how (not using wisecroft - that's shareware <_< ) to convert them, lemme know.. Dan
You need to change the file associations -- go to Windows Media Player: Tools > Options > File Types, and go from there, putting checkmarks in the boxes for whichever formats you wanna play with Windows Media Player.
