Disappointing: Why isn't Armenian art recognized?

On my last visit to Armenia, I met many famous painters, whos art, to me, seemed much more complex and creative than any european art.

And I wondered to myself, why this is not being sold for a high price.

It is a shame that Armenian art is in the hands of Armenians and in Armenia.

And not that much gets recognized.

I hope it will all change soon!

I agree with you 100 % PiggyWiggy. Armenian artist are many and they are many talented young armenian artists at the march. We have to all help to put the worlds focus on them,. Together we can work to bring it to public awarness. Edited by koko

For that one should not too much negotiate the prices ! Armenian artists are very talented. For us who are from Europe, the US... the prices suggested over there are well-sure incomparable with the prices of paintings of an equivalent quality in Europe or in the US... but it's not a reason to always want to buy at a low price !

For me, any manual art and in particular when it acts of creation, deserves much respect, encouragement and assistance. Our artists are just great ! We have to always support them !
