Guest Posted July 28, 2000 Report Share Posted July 28, 2000 Any impetus for helpful action towards Armenia has come from the Republican controlled legislative branch of government. I have perused past government documents and if my research is correct, it is only the last 2 or 3 years that the President has even issued a proclamation on the Armenian Genocide. Mr Gore is trying to draw attention to the fact that he has been putting computers in Armenia. I have written to The Armenian Democratic National Committee with 3 questions. 1)Why was Georgia selected by the administration as the transit route for Azeri oil to Turkey? I had thought that the shortest route between two points was a straight line. 2)Why was The General Motors plant projected for Yerevan squashed? 3)Why now is the Trans Caspian pipeline to Turkey contemplated to also transit Georgia?
