Some Facebook users, including those of Armenian origin, expressed their approval of this decision.Besides, the deputies recognized the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire. The Senate recognized the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh after the Committee members, Ani Chaglasyan and Joe Ariyan, testified before the Senate's Judicial Committee in support of the decision.
