The police prevented the actions of the crowd taking 20 people to the police station.The day before that, opposition MP Nikol Pashinyan who is the main initiator and organizer of the protests, announced that they will be trying to prevent the upcoming first government session to be lead by the newly elected Prime Minister, Sargsyan.The demonstrations in Yerevan are being held since April 13. On April 17, the Armenian parliament where the leading party has a majority, elected Serzh Sargsyan for the role of the new PM. Sargsyan was the president of the country for 10 years. In 2015 Armenia had a constitutional referendum as a result of which the form of government has changed from semi-presidential to parliamentary. I apologize for that although I truly had nothing to do with it. It's dedicated to you, Armenia's peaceful resistance.Խելացի կամքի տեր, եվ անուշիկ երիտասարդներ Հայաստանի, Ողջու՝յն Ձեզ։Ես շատ կուզեի ձեզ միանալ Երեվանում, կամ այլ քաղաքներում, քանզի սիրտս եւ միտքս ամբողջովին ձեր հետն է։Մինչեւ հիմա չեմ կարողացած այլ պատճառներով, բայց կհուսամ մոտ ատենից կառողանամ։Ցանկանում եմ շնորհավորել Ձեզ Հայաստանի պատմության մեջ մինչ օրս ամենահաջող քաղաքացիական անհնազանդության քարոզարշավի համար:Այս շարժումը իսկական է եւ այն լիովին ձերն է եւ պետք է մնա այդպիսին, զերծ իրենց շահը հետապնդող կասկածելի ուժերից։ Պետք է իմանաք, որ Սփյուռքում բոլորը ձեզ աջակցում են, նույնիսկ նրանք, ովքեր լինելով տարբեր կազմակերպություններում, որոշ պատճառներով դեմ են ձեր ջանքերին, բայց ներքուստ նրանք նույնպես ձեզ աջակցում են։ Մենք ապշած ենք ձեր առաքինությամբ, խաղաղասիրությամբ եւ հանդուրժողականությամբ։ Ես տեսնում եմ սերը ձեր աչքերի մեջ եւ ձեր սրտերում եւ ձեր դեմքերի ժպիտները, ինչպես ես արդեն տեսել էի երբ մենք 2015 թ-ին« բեմից ելույթ ունեցանք System of theDownի հետ: Ես տեսնում եմ այն նաեւ ձեր բողոքի ցույցերում։ Սա յուրահատուկ բան է Հայաստանի համար, սա նոր մշակութային հեղափոխություն է, եւ դա է այսօր իսկական հեղափոխությունը Հայաստանում: Դուք փոխել եք ձեր մշակույթը, եւ դրա շնորհիվ արդեն հաղթել եք։ Դուք հասկացել եք, որ այս մշակույթի փոփոխությունը, այս մշակութային զարթոնքը եւ արդարության պահանջը մարդու հիմնական իրավունքներն են:Իսկ այժմ ես ունեմ մի քանի խորհուրդ, եթե թույլ տաք։Առաջին - հեռու մնալ “գունավոր հեղափոխության” տերմինաբանությունից, քանզի այն ընդհանրացվում է Արեւելք /Արեվմուտք առճակատման հետ։ Մեր պայքարը Արեվելքին կամ Արեվմուտքին կողմ կամ դեմ լինելը չէ, այլ այն արդարության եւ առաջադիմական փոփոխության համար է: Մենք չենք ուզում որեւէ կայսրության վասալ պետությունը լինել, մեզ պետք են լավ հարաբերություններ բոլորի հետ:Երկրորդ - Ձեր պահանջները կոնկրետացրեք: Առաջարկում եմ պահանջել, որ Սերժ Սարգսյանը ոչ միայն հրաժարական տա վարչապետի պաշտոնից, այլ նաեւ հրաժարվի իր կուսակցության առաջնորդը լինելուց: Այնուհետեւ ես կպահանջեի բարեփոխումների փաթեթ, որը կզբաղվեր այն բոլորանարդարություններով, որոնք մեզ հայտնի են `կոռուպցիա, շրջակա միջավայրի աղտոտում, եւ այլ բաներ, ներկայացնելով հստակ ժամանակահատված նոր կառավարությանը դրանք իրականացնելու համար։ Եթե բարեփոխումները տեղի չեն ունենում, ապա ես ամսաթիվ կնաշանակեի ապագա նոր բողոքի ցույցերի համար, այս անգամ պահանջելով խորհրդարանի հրաժարականը եւ նոր խորհրդարանական ընտրություններ:Երրորդ - Շարունակեք ձեր խաղաղ դիմադրությունը, խուսափեք սադրիչների թակարդներից, նրանք կստանան իրենց անարդարությունը, երբ նրանց ղեկավարները մի օր կազատվեն աշխատանքից, եւ նրանք ստիպված կլինեն գալ ձեր մոտ աշխատանք խնդրելու համար: Շարունակեք լինել ճկուն, արդար, անկեղծ եւ սիրող, շարունակեք ոստիկանության հետ վարվել եղբայրների եւ քույրերի պես, քանի որ նրանք այդիսին են իրականում։ 2015-ին Էլեկտրիկ Երեւանի բողոքի ընթացքում ես այնքան ոգեշնչված էի, որ գրեցի “Էլեկտրիկ Երեւան” երգը: Ես շուտով այն պատշաճ կերպով կթողարկեմ։ Այժմ, ես ձեր համար կկատարեմ մի փոքրիկ հատված երգի ցուցադրական տարբերակից: Ես սա նվիրում եմ ձեզ բոլորիդ Հայաստանում։ Սիրում եմ Ձեզ։Partial lyrics from "Electric Yerevan" song:We don't want to be the bitch of any superpowersColor revolutions fadeWe want cheap powerElectric, electric, electricElectric YerevanWe say no to corruptionand no to plunderBillionaire playgrounds are going underElectric, electric, electricElectric YerevanBrutal police crackdownWith water cannonsServe to irrigate the seeds of discontent and malcontentCivil disobedienceWorking like a charmWe don't want to be the bitch of any superpowersColor revolutions fadeWe want cheap powerElectric, electric, electricElectric YerevanIt seems like the brutal police crackdown with water cannons and beating up people including journalists has predictably brought more people out into the streets of Yerevan today. This was a peaceful sit in. The police had the right to clear it and legally detain people without using undue force. The situation should not be politicized by foreign media or governments. This is a non-political reaction to an endemic economic marginalization of a large segment of the Armenian populace.
