Sev-Mard I do not care if you have a relationship with a Armenian girl. The only point I stress is that they are trying to convince me to accept you as Armenian and eventually your kid as a Armenian, when in fact we all know you and your child will never be Armenian. That is the only problem I have with you, but since you yourself do not "feel" Armenian then by their own definition you are not "Armenian".

 

Vigil, who said anything about converting or forcing? I said accepting those who want to be accepted as opposed to ostracizing them because their parents, not they, mixed. Maybe it's true that whites are more accepted in this lifetime than non-whites. Too bad. You ain't white and most of your nation isn't either. Get used to it. I and many others before me said what we wanted to say regarding this. It's up to you to understand it (not necessarily agree with it) if you want. End of discussion.

 

Fine if you are not "White" then do not claim you are "Indo-European", "European", and or "White". Furthermore, from now try to find roots that either place you in Africa or label you a Semite. In fact at this point anything that is remotely connected to Armenians historically can also be discarded since Armenians are not "white" and have no relation to the "Proto-Armenians".

 

By the way, you're entire ideology does indeed force Armenianism on someone in the long run and in my opinion is indeed a "purist" or "racist" idea. It is true I am ethnocentric; however, in no way am I racist. The same can not be said about what you are proposing because if indeed you impose Armenianism onto someone you must think being Armenian is better then not being Armenian.

 

However, I have already spent so much time getting involved in these useless threads where pages upon pages of logical retort is not enough to convince some individuals they are wrong.

 

Conclusion: Armenians are no different then Turks and Jews in terms of ancestry, so, guess what you win, which is why I am going to place the "blessing" of being Armenian on to the next individual that "feels Armenian".

 

If indeed being Armenian has no bearing upon race then from now on please do not state that Eastern Turkey is the homeland of Armenians because genetically you have no relation with ancient Armenians, but a Turk does.

 

In fact by your're logic then Turks are indeed the rightful descendents of ancient Armenians seeing how you think Armenians are not "white", which means that contemporary Armenians are not the Armenians of ancient times. In fact Armenians now are closely related to Arabs and are indeed one of the lost tribes of Israel as most Jews claim they are because genetically they have more in common with Ashkenazi Jews, who we all knew are pure of blood.

Vigil, that's the whole damn point: we are Armenian REGARDLESS of what we look like today. Of course we are not DIRECT descendants of our 3000-year-old ancestors. And guess what?? Even they were mixed!! And Indo-European is mainly used for language, not race! And even that has changed! Which nation in the world speaks IE the way our IE ancestors spoke it? No one!! Because that language has been shaped and reshaped and has been mixed and remixed with LOADS of other languages to the point that Persian sounds NOTHING like English unless you observe them very carefully under a very thick microscope. Again, you're WAY too black and white in your views (ironical really...). As if nothing in between can be right. Who gives a sh*t whether we are white or brown or black or all three? Fact is, there are people out there today who call themselves Armenian. What more do you want?!

I mean so what you have a movie like Soul Plane, the characters on Friends, Seinfeld and Sex in the City were all oversexed and silly on top of that. Was that the end of white civilization? I don't be fooled for a second that much of what is "allowed" or given major backing by studios is minstrel in nature. We produce many bad images ourselves, but those in power don't really want to see much else, for obvious reasons.

You can tell when a US TV series is coming to an end when they start adding "ethnic minority" characters in inappropriate parts to make up for their almost total absence (sometimes justified) in earlier shows. Never have heard of the first series you mentioned, and never have watched the last, but it happened with Friends, and with shows such as Buffy the Vampıre Slayer. I wonder whose favour they are trying to get since it is insulting to everyone?
