Join this online chess portal where you can play vs. different people from the world, begginers to grandmasters. It gives you a rating of your games based of USCF formulas and you join a team, which is your country, to play vs another teams. What makes this website different from others is that it has a very good system of catching cheaters (ones who use computer to aid their moves). At least four of world's Grand Masters play there. Once you login there, it finds you a opponent between 5-30sec, depending on your preferences. You can choose to play opponents of similar strength as you. Right now, Armenia has only 5 players and on 30st place (out of 68). Play for your country!

P.S. I'm not the owner of that website, I just play there and notice that there very few Armenians play there, what makes Armenia to be on 30th place (varies). It has a 30day risk-free trial if you're not sure. Cost: $3/month

I visited the site and it is very user friendly. Out of curiosity just checked out the participants. Armenia has 30 players and is well beyond 60 place out of 148. In the same time you can see people with nicknames like Ashot, Vartan, Tigran etc. playing under the American, Russian or German flag. Did anybody tell them to look at their passports when registering. Hello? This is a free world! At least on Internet they can use the Armenian flag!

Chess czar Gary Kasparov has tied his first game against the computer "X3D Fritz" after wrestling with the machine for about three and a half hours.

Kasparov, who was playing whites, agreed on Tuesday to a draw after 37 moves. The 40-year-old Russian-American will play three more games against "X3D Fritz" at the New York Athletic Club, but he is resigned to the fact that soon chess grandmasters will stand no chance against computers.

Kasparov played wearing three-D glasses, gazing at a chess board that appears to float in the air. He dictated piece movements with voice commands and rotated the board with a joystick.

The International Computer Games Association and the United

States Chess Federation, which will be holding the next games on 13,16 and 18 November say it is the first time a chess challenge has been fought "in total virtual reality."
