Armen Half-Celt
Nangorno Gharapakh is mostly populated by Armenians but how many are there? i thought i read 8,000. but i don't know. Sound like small amount to me, its half the total death to toll of the war (form both sides) and i keep hearing there are at least a million refugees form both sides, (although Azeri sources say there are a million Azeribejani displaced, so i read form 1 to 1.6 million people displaced refugees), are there really that many people there? or are they from Azeri cities in the "buffer zone" or Gharapakh that were emptied by the Armenian army took it? or are they from destroyed Aremnian communites from Baku and the rest of Azerbenjan? or are there even tha t many refugees at all? I am confused froma ll the info coming around
MJ
Around 1988, there where about 150,000 Armenians living in Karabagh and about 30,000 Azeris (give or take.) The numbers of Azeri refugees are grossly exaggerated.
