Russo-turkish War?

Has anybody been following the latest developments in the Iraq saga?

Turkey is waiting with bated breath to be invited in while Putin is meeting with Bush and offering his services.

Is this the resumption of the Russo-Turkish wars that were interrupted more than a hundred years ago.

More than unlikely.

Any threat to Turkey is a direct threat to Israel.

Any major engagement with Israel will involve nukes directly leading towards "WWIII".

My mistake, I did not qualify the "war" as "cold" even if a "hot" one cannot be excluded.

Nuclear weapons?

This must yet to be the blackest of blackmails ever.

The fallout from Hiroshima and Nagasaki was strongly felt over the US. How far is the US from Japan? Look at the map below. It does not give a scale but my estimation is that Baghdad is less than 500 km from TelAviv, that is less than 300 miles. Yesterday I drove 200 miles to work, 100 miles each way. Of course, they can drop an A-bomb on Damascus. How far is Damascus from Jerusalem?

Some people prophesied Armageddon, the end of the world. Unless some people have the ability to travel to Mars or Jupiter and send their missiles from there they will also be part of the is world.

Let us count the times we have heard about the imminence of WWII only in the last 50 years. Here are some of the major one off the top of my head; Korea, Vietnam, Yugoslavia..... Iraq. Or was there a WWIII already whe I was sleeping?

Russia has always wanted to get to warmer land/sea. Turkey still remembers when the oil fields of Mosul and Kirkuk were left within the demarkation of Iraq. They were also cut short of the oil of the Caspian, mainly by the British, and Armenians had something to do with that as little as it may have been. Now do you understand why the Turks hate Armenians even more than an Armenian hates the Turk.

"Any threat on Turkey isa direct threat on Israel?"

What school have gone to? Has not anybody told you that you are talking about the world's two most elitist and xenophobic people? If you think a Turk will die for Israel and visa versa then you must reread your elementary history.

It is tragic that you are talking about two Armenian rivers Yeprat and Tigris.

And where will that water come from?

Look at the map again. Will TelAviv move where Aleppo is now or will Van move to replace Jerusalem? Of course! Syria had to be erased off the map.

If we could only belive in lies and myths!!
