US and Russia playing both sides in Karabagh conflict

The United States of America and Russia what do they have in common????? Well they are both imperialst powers (US has more means at the time than Russia) They squabble over little things and the little nations ( HMMM lets say Azerbajian and Armenia) are caught in the middle of thier economic ambitions in the Caspian Basin. Its all about the oil. Check this out US and Nato is talking about forming an alliance with Azerbajian, while "supporting" the Armenian cause. Lets also not forget "mother Russia". They are also supplying Armenian (and secretly azeri) fighters. While we squabble with each other over Karabagh the big powers are dividing our lands amongst themselves. While we fight each other they will form alliances with either Armenia or Azerbajian (or secretly both). In the mean time the oil pipeline (I think its called trans caucasian pipeline or something) is being disputed by the US and Russia. The big question for them is WHO WILL GET THE OIL. The US is tired of Saudi Arabia and other Opec countries raising the prices and they don't wanna drill Alaska so what's the next best thing????? We turn to Transcaucasia or mainly Azerbajian due to its position right next to the Caspian Basin which is loaded with a tonn of oil. Using the excuse of trying to help Armenians and Azeris

"resolve" the conflict they move right on in.

Alex , don't you think that both USA and Russia are acting for the best interest of their countries? It is only right for them to look after their own interests. We would have done the same.

So basicaly the question is not them , the question is what are we(Armenian) doing to accomodate their need for power and influence?

Yeah they are at the other nations expenses.

Look at vietnam look at afghanistan look what happened in those counties "the best interests" of the "great" powers left those two nations in turmoil even until this day. Afghanistan had its problems before the russian invasion but they escalated after the soviet juggernaut rolled in. As for vietnam they were having a civil war and usa interviend. They wanted bases there (like russia wanted warm water ports and through afghanistan it would be easier to conrtol them) so when the the civil war started they just rolled on in under the excuse to rid the world of communism. I might be only 17 years old but i know whats going on in the world. You always have to look at the situation from different points of view and ask your self: is this what i should believe or is this what they want me to believe? I always analize the situation. Every conflict has a deeper issue than what the media and politicians tell you.

First of all let me tell you that I didn't know your age , nor did I imply that you were not aware of the subject. I agree with what you are saying 100%, but my question was a different one.

What about our own policies, our own plays , our own politics? Are we carried away , are we playing into their field ( or both fields)? Or do we have the strength to have an independent strong political position?

Just blaming the others for all our shorcomings is not going to solve the problems.
