I got few thousand and I need to know your advice. Where and what would you suggest for a retirement fund. I am in late thirties and they (financial gurus) advice I start as early as possible. What is your take? Any help will be appreciated.
DominO123
I think it would be a good idea to tell first in which country you live.

Pilafhead
If you don't have a 401K at work already, look into an IRA. There are a few standard types, but I'm not sure of the difference.
justme
401(k) is a great idea. if your work provides it check out how much the employer contributes. if not, an IRA is your most common retirement vehicle...r u married, any kids...all these fact matter...a Roth IRA is the best one..most efficient, you can take advantage of the tax deferral, depending on how much you make. an annuity is also a way but it not necessary geared to long term savings...
