I recieved an email from the author of www.geocitiesdotcom/soykirkur, OK I know, it's not the first time I recieve such ridiculious emails from Turks that thinks they can corner the great Domino. :) But this one I think should be posted, as a supposed speech made by Egoyan that he didn't made.

"THE SINCERE CONFESSION OF EGOYAN!

Atom Egoyan, who had painstakingly chronicled the so-called genocide argument of the Armenians on the silver screen, visited Beirut on June 30, 2003 to receive the only “Armenian Award” given to the movie “Ararat”, which brought down the curtain to his career as a director. The pride of Armenian fanaticism dominated the hall of the Armenian Church in Beirut, where the award ceremony was held…only until Egoyan made a speech and the Lebanese press reflected this tragedy in the papers on July 1… Atom Egoyan started his shocking speech right after he and his wife Arsine Egoyan were decorated with the “Mesrop Machtouts” medal: “…No producer in Hollywood is interested in this matter (so called genocide)…! Let alone their indifference, they do not even keep their promises! I was promised to produce a movie on genocide. Nobody called nor asked the outcome of the film! So, I made my own movie. However, the movie created problems at every stage. No company wanted to distribute the movie…Even an Armenian distributor refused to distribute the film… …Nobody and no institution esteemed my movie, on the pretext that it incited malice and hatred; they even tried to prevent the showings in several countries. The movie, which has cost 65 million US dollars, generated a mere income of 2 million dollars. I found it strange that in France, where quite a number of Armenians live, the movie was not in demand; I was shocked and shaken…” …Egoyan and his wife were leaving the hall even before the guests realized what was happening. There is no need for further argument! We congratulate Egoyan for his sincere confessions! Ülkü Eryaman Editor The Organization For The Commemoration Of The Genocide Victims"

I have read that, and said hmmm... OK! But the next time that Eryaman wants to forge Egoyan, he should learn first how much the movie costed. 11-12 million that is, not 65 million(I think he is confusing the Turkish population with the cost of the movie :) ). As for the rest, I won't comment. :D
