ARMENIA AND GEORGIA SPECIFY INTERSTATE FRONTIER SCHEME

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ In the course of the current visit of an Armenian delegation to Georgia representatives of corresponding departments of both countries specify the state frontier scheme. In the words of Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian, negotiations in this respect have already been held for several years. The minister noted that in spite of friendly relations between Armenia and Georgia, the state frontier between them should be finally established. "The parties are expected to finally establish the state frontier scheme within 2004," – V. Oskanian said.

I suggest the Armenian frontier to pass right south of Tbilissi, diagonally West across Adjaria all the way to he Black Sea. I would settle with that frontier.

Interesting article about Armenian-Georgian relations. But I disagree that Georgia is stronger than Armenia. I think they are equally weak. Javakhq could always serve as a deterrant without using (like a nuclear deterrant). But Georgia is well exploiting its geographic advantage by charging hefty transportation fees and informal taxation of Armenian vehicles.
