Yervant1 Posted November 18, 2014 Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 ARMENIAN GENOCIDE NOVEL PUBLISHED IN TURKEY15:56 * 17.11.14The Armenian Cause and the 1915 Genocide have been comprehensivelycovered for the first time ever in Turkey in a new novel written byVedat Tokali.The author has repeatedly before addressed different ethnic minoritiesin other literary pieces.The new novel presents a retrospective look into history againstthe background of the love-story of a self-confident young lady anda young man who lost the sense of confidence in the aftermath of atrauma suffered in a prison in Diyarbekir.The author's brief overview of the Armenian history is accompanied bya depiction of the other nations killed on the present-day Turkey'sterritory (where he says every inch of land had seen bloodshed).Tokali speaks of the groups naming themselves Hamidiyes (cavalry),as well as Ittihat ve Terakki (Committee of Unions and Progress),cembalists etc.He tells the history of the 1909 Cilicia massacres (committedby Ittihat ve Terakki) which preceded the Armenian Genocide, thedeportations from the province of Kharberd and the other regionsof historical Armenia.
