Twenty children infected with enterovirus

Twenty cases of enterovirus were reported in a kindergarten in Kapan city. The news about the infection spread quickly throughout the entire region.

Although enterovirus causes various infections, local virologists comfort everyone by saying that there is not an epidemic sweeping in the region. Besides, they said, enterovirus is not an unknown virus.  Only one of the infected children has been hospitalized.

Virologists say enteroviruses are common viruses that can cause respiratory illness, runny nose, fever and rash. The use of antibiotics is prohibited during the treatment.
