nairi
Harut jan, I think it's merely a diminutive form of the name, though mostly (if not always) used for male names. Kind of like the -y in English names: Harold-Harry; Tom-Tommy; Sam-Sammy. Here's a pretty cool site for you. It supposedly defines Armenian names. See for yourself if Nairi under "female Armo names" makes sense http://www.kabalarians.com/male/armeniam.htm
