Guest Fadi
I just bough the soundtrack, Danna has done a very good job(yes, he's not Armenian ) Found something interesting on the cover sheet of the box. " I will never forget the trip that Mychael and I made to Armenia to record the folk instruments and singers for Ararat. My strongest impression was listening to the choir in the splendid church of St. Gayane in Etchmiadzin as they sang "Yeraz. This song which means "Dream," was the only thing my father remembers his mother singing to him as a boy. My grandmother, whom I never knew, was an orphan of the Armenian genocide. What a "dream" it would truly be that her grandson would take this song and include it in the soundtrack for his film! (...) Atom Egoyan" No wonder why "Yeraz" appears to be the inspiration of many other of the musics in the film... Martin allegation that the film was about how Egoyan was viewing etc... that is right, even the music, and the search of the orgine etc... Guest Fadi
Ah and, I forgot to say, that "Yeraz" and the other musics that are inspired from "Yeraz" worth an Oscar.
