...

This has been posted early in April by Circassian the ex-member of this board, now as moderator on Turkey.com

"provide the adresses of any web site which defames turks.

It will probably be broken soon."

Maybe it was just a simple allegation, but this guy is a fool, a snake... and something like this comming from him should be taken seriously.

But WHO CARES?

All you have to do is backup often. Let them do whatever they want. Doesn't matter how hard they try to get in ... it is always much much easier to restore from backups than to "break in".

I see all these reports of "Oh, they broke in to such and such system ... all world is coming to an end!" ... nothing could be further from the truth.

I understand everything, but I can not understand way some one would hack in to rubens forum? Their is atlist a half dozen Armenian forums in the net who are 1000 more powerful, have over 30-40 thousand topics and posts and have lesser security than rubens forum, way did this hackers decide to hack in to rubens forum ??? with the same effort one can hack even a bigger forum and make even a bigger statement.

[EDIT]:

OK ... I promise I'll try not to start another reply with the word "BUT" ...

Sip,

not always true. There are times that they can hack into your system and get passwords and such. While is it true you can backup daily(and most sites do, I hope) there is some information that can be grabbed that would be hard to change.

There should of course be an extra level of awareness about "hacking" but generally, it takes much more effort to destroy than to rebuild in case of electronic media (although I could be wrong). I think at the end, that will be the main force that will help in fighting against e-vandalism.
