Another question.

My server do not support cgi, how can we know that asp is supported by the server ? For example an asp forum, the folder where the files are named folder, and in it one of the files is forum.asp, the one that I think is supposed to load by only refering to the directory /forum, it dosnt work, it goes in the directory, but when indicating /forum/forum.asp the file load, how do we know that it is not the browser that is able to read it, and that in fact it is not supported by the browser ?

Domino,

If you load IIS all your ASP pages will work form your machine. IIS is the Microsoft webserver. You basically will be running your own personal web server.

As for the forum.asp? Did you mean that when you type the complete URL the asp page works and you do not get an error? If yes, then you have to change the default files in the IIS config and add forum.asp to it, or you have to rename your forum.asp to either index.asp or default.asp to make it come up when you just type the directory and not the actual file. To try it make a copy of forum.asp as default.asp first, if it still wont come up, try index.asp.
