Have you been following the news from the Middle East (Gaza)?

A long times ago, when many of our friends wished us the same fate of those cursed people. There was a lengthy heated discussion about how our legacy and destiny is parallel with that of a certain chosen people, how we should emulate how they deal with their neighbors/enemies and that we should emulate them. I cannot find that particular thread, I think it was in reference to the Artsakh Saga where I said something like- At the time MosJan wanted to come over and kiss me on the forehead.

If your wish is that our destiny be likes theirs may your mouth be shut forever and your wish may never be granted, how for almost 70 years, every since 1948 and before , they have not .had a year, a month, a week, a day, and hour and a minute of peace and security, and how they, everyone of them, man woman and child have been going to bed with their combat boots on and their weapons under their pillows. It will continue for another 2000 years, as long as since they, running away from their neighbors whom they had incessantly harassed and insulted, they followed the retreating Romans and created the diaspora.***

***It is reminiscent of the time when the Kilikian Armenians following the retreating French creted the Diaspor of the Middle East and beyond.

DO WE WISH THAT FOR OURSELVES?
