Sip
So it looks like intel did another major price cutting on the CPUs by as much as 50%. What I always find most fascinating (this has been around for a loooong time in the PC market especially) is this: Pentium 4, 2.4 GHz $193Pentium 4 2.8 GHz $508 So why would anyone in their right mind pay that much more for so little gain? Those 2 processors will be almost identical in performance in a real system ... well, at least nothing that can possibly justify a 2.6x factor difference in price!!! But still intel will probably make money as they obviously have in the past ... it is amazing ... buying the second-best CPU as far as PCs are concerned has almost always been the best bang-for-the-buck thing to do. Azat
muah.... I got a new Sony Vaio laptop last December as a xmas gift for myself. midrange laptop with bells and whistles for $1700. I just looked and the lowest end laptop that Sony has has more of everything and is cheaper. you can't even get a laptop as slow as mine brand new from Sony anymore. By the way the low end one is about 50% cheaper than mine as well.
