armeniangirl83
When i said to an Armenian that i'm originally from Turkey, they looked to you with suspicion. Or something else. They don''t find you an good Armenian, because you have lived with Turkeys people. Why is that a problem?Especially the Armenians from Iran are arrogance against armenian people from Turkey. Because they can speak fluently read and speak Armenians etc. But it was difficult for Armenians in Turkey to not lose the identy. The Turks quell them, aslo now in this time, and try that they lose the identy. But it knocked me. I was talking with a little boy, he was from Azerbeidjan. Later he came to me to ask where i''m from(he most it ask from his father). I said that my parents are from Turkey and he scared(i saw that in his face) and he walked away. And he don't look later to me.
levonyeshilian
I agree, That was what my sisters suffered when they moved to US.Maybe the reason is the Patriarchate's official declarations about the genocide issue.
Pilafhead
Wow, you learn something everyday around here... If anything, I would respect you for putting up with living there. I think no matter where you are from, there's bound to be a group of Armenians that do not like you. A sad fact of our people.

armeniangirl83
When i'm with turks i never talk about the genocide. But on this moment i talk not with turks, only when they ask me on school some things, but they never ask about such things. I don't like the turks, bacouse they're some things happen, so that's the reason. But i have spoken with an Armenian from armenia and have asked this. And the answer was that the Armenians from Turkey are not to trust. And when you looked in some things, it's true. The Armenians form Turkey goes out with them, and talked(i mean some girls, from my age) they talked with the boys as brothers. That's not correct. the girls don't see the wrong, but the Turkish boys shall do wrong things. It happens much. When the father form that girl that shall hear, he shall be very mad on her, yes i know such girls.
Taguhi
I olso heard some bad opinions about Armenians from Turkey. Some Armenian from Armenia said me that they are Turks not Armenians. Maybe because there are a lot of Armenians in Turkey who don't want to show their Armenians roots. If you live in America and you are turkish Armenian maybe others think that you must be Armenian fanatic, dashnak or some Armenian socialist.I read some of your replies. You show your aversion to Turcs very strong and maybe some people are afraid of it. They think that your only subject to talk is Genocide and consider you as a little bit fanatic or even rasist. Maybe olso some Armenians think why two millions of Turkish Armenians died in Genocide and your family not.I don't know. Personally I like Turkish Armenians. My mother-in law's family was from Alashkert. They lost 90% of their family. His grandfather was one of Dashnaks who in revenge preper killing of Turkish leader. Now I don't remember which one.In Turkey were born olso a lot of great Armenian people like Andranik, Hrair,Grigor Zohrab, Eruhan, Ruben Zardarian and a lot more.Don't worry you have a great heritage.
