Guest
The events over the last few days have caused me to reflect about the merit of sitting here and typing away online for numerous hours. I asked myself "Steve what the hell are you doing wasting time and wear and tear on your fingers arguing with someone who is nobody to you, who is a pompous ass and who you owe nothing to?" I started to think of how much time I waste on this forum, and is it really a wise use of the time God has given me on the earth. These are a list of only some of the things I could be doing instead: 1. Learning Vietnamese, useful for the community I teach in, so I can communicate with parents.2. Practice writing and reading in Armenian3. Go for a jog4. Visit my parents5. Read a book 6. Spend more time prepare my lessons for my students, and building my own background knowledge7. Go to more Pow Wows! I think we should all reflect on this. I am not saying that I will stop posting. If Garo has been kind enough to put up with me, then I will post, but I will probably limit it to my Armenian lessons I give Kazza and Pilafhead (MJ if you think you can do a better job go for it, by the way I find it awfully curious how you never post in Armenian, just a thought!) I really don't see how we are doing much for Armenia or Armenians by ghor ghoring over and over.

Guest
Farsi Jan, Of course there can never be too much of you on the forum, If we are all honest for ourselves , I think this IS the best step forward(Some others can also do well to think of this) this is a forum, it is a wonderful think to communicate our ideas everyday from accross the world, but this is ONLY a forum. It is only an electronic device, it is not the real world, only a small part of it. Good for you! It's nice I wish you could give us more lessons! But really you are HELPING us to learn because it will make us get off our arse (the way i said that! It made it sound like PIlafhead and I share the same one!) giggle and use our own initiative. Also. Many of us post nemerous posts. But it wont hurt for them to be fewer, and better quality! And who knows?? If we have more of a life then it will give us semthing nice to talk about when we do come on! I am planning to follow in your footsteps, not not through choice, because I HAVE to! I have never suceeded very well in school anyway but just about now I am really having some problems and struggling. The tutors are concerned so most of you probably wont see me for a while either. But now it is my choice a well! I need to go to more greek dancing lessons that I have been a bad girl and skipping cos "cant be bovvered" also mother keeps on nagging me to come out jogging with her and I wont go.A also need to arrange a holiday, do my artwork, Write some more short books...lots of stuff really! Guest
Farsi have you found an native American forum, because also I am interested, but Farsi please don't send the link here, just e_mail me, because you know why, because some suspicious figure would come there to "teach" those American Indians that they are Turks and should be tolerant towrds their neigbours "Turkey"that they shouldn't burn Turkey's @ss for thanksgiving day, and that Iranyar wants to make North dakota an Iranian province [This message has been edited by Iranyar (edited November 21, 2000).]
Guest
Osiyo Iranyar! (That's the Cherokee greeting, Im still searching for the Chocktaw one as that is my ancestry) Yeah I am looking for an Indigenous forum, but I think I need to cut down on the time I spend online. When I find a good forum I will e-mail it to you. Yeah, I am sure we would have people infiltrate and come up with their usual b.s. ! Why didn't you know Chichen Itza and Macchu Picchu were built by Turks? LOL! donada govi, Steve PS: This isn't a forum but a site to learn Tsalagi Cherokee http://public.csusm.edu/public/raven/chero...ee/dir/Cherlexi. If you can't access this just key in Cherokee language on Yahoo and you will come across many sites teaching the modern Cherokee language. Guest
Steve dämët gärm but the link didn't work.BTW our prediction was write, today I've recieved an e_mail showing an article with the maps that shows India is a Turkish civilization, you remember the day I said some scientist have done resaerch that the Sumerians were geneticaly related to the Dravidians (in India non-Indoeuropeans) and we knew that Ziya Gök Alp the eshek boy of Turkish theory making said that the Sumerians were Turks, the conclusion The Indians were Turks so by this I had predicted what the Turks will say at least two weeks earlier, Am I king of prediction or are this Turkish pseudointellectuals who are so predictable and naive? Get your education squared away--everything else can wait. After college, I worked full time and studied full time another six years just so the rest of my life could be comfortable and fun. It was worth the short-term hell for the long-term gains. Just think someday you could be a 36 year-old goof off. Need any math help??? I'm a good tutor, but I'm not sure how well it'll translate via e-mail.
Guest
Speaking of getting a life, I really need to stop this...lol...I'm seriously addicted to this thing. My honors gpa is now a mess, and I've gotten even more emotional due to this forum than I already am. What a mess!
Guest
Wow, everyone's sobering up and bailing at once! Me, too (that's what my "Race ya" post above to Steve was meant to imply). Everything in moderation, including moderation, Mike
Guest
lol, Mikey, you show off...lol... Aristotle was right though, moderation seems to work best. Alright, here's my "brilliant" idea...lol We should all cut back, but cut back so as to still participate and participate fully, not just in a couple of sections like Steve was suggesting...I think it can be done. I think we lose a lot of time being upset with each other and venting on the forum. If we don't do that, we'll be fine. Lest I sounded like I'm quitting the forum (see first posting), let me reassure everyone, I'm not. I just need to pull myself together...I'm taking on another client, going to work for the clinic, etc, etc...Time constraints are going to be rather severe. Plus finals are coming up. But never fear, even with all the time constraints, you can count on Gayane to say something inflammatory in nature every once in a while..lol.. Even given the realization that's dawning on all of us that we need to take a step back from the forum could I just say I really love this place. So, I'm not going anywhere, and neither should anyone else. Let's all follow Aristotle's advice, shall we?... Love to all, Gayane [This message has been edited by Gayane (edited November 22, 2000).]

Didn't know that's who said that...I'm going to stick to the nonsense threads. This'll cut down on my time and my frustration. Good luck on your work and schooling. I'm sure glad I didn't have the Internet back when I had studying to do. I give you guys alot of credit.[This message has been edited by Pilafhead (edited November 22, 2000).]
