MosJan
YEREVAN BRANDY FACTORY SIGNS CONTRACTS WITH FARMERS The Yerevan Brandy Factory has started the process of purchasing grapes. For the first time, the Factory is using contracts with farmers. This allows everyone to save time, avoid long waiting lines and receive fresh grapes, which surely will have a positive effect on the quality of brandy. When asked whether Armenian and French cognacs are comparable, the management of Pernaud Ricard, the owner of the Yerevan Brandy Factory, said that they are different. Armenian cognac is strong and rich in taste, as the strong Armenian sun and nature. French cognac is more like the French character: light and modest. The Factory is going to purchase 13 thousand tons of grapes this year. The process started on September 18, and is taking place on the basis of long-term contracts. < 20.09.2001 01.16 >
