MosJan Posted December 21, 2001 Report Share Posted December 21, 2001 ARMENIAN JEWELRY EXHIBITION TO OPEN IN JAPAN -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- President Robert Kocharian’s meetings in Japan continueArmenian president Robert Kocharian met with Japanese Emperor Akikhito in Tokyo. The meeting had a ceremonial character. President Kocharian also met with the chairmen of Japanese Export Trade Organization (JETRO) and Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). An agreement was reached with the JETRO to hold an exhibition of Armenian jewelry in Japan in 2002. It is also planned to open an informational marketing center in Yerevan for this purpose. The Armenian delegation headed by Robert Kocharian visited the central office of the Liberal-Democratic Party of Japan yesterday, December 20, where the newly formed Armenian-Japanese Friendship Parliamentary Group was presented. Thirty-five members of Japanese parliament are enrolled in the group. Today, December 21, the Armenian delegation headed by Robert Kocharian will visit the ancient capital of Japan- Kioto.
