MosJan Posted March 16, 2001 Report Share Posted March 16, 2001 DEMAND FOR SOFTWARE SPECIALISTS GROWS YEREVAN, MARCH 14, ARMENPRESS: Last year about 2,500 jobs were created in the high technologies sector, but today there is already a strong demand for software specialist, deputy trade and industry minister Ashot Shahnazarian told Armenpress, adding that at least 10 companies, specialized in software, can hire today 110 specialist with an average $700 salary.The deputy minister also said that most probably the synthetic rubber, produced by Nairit company, may soon travel to Germany, as the technology for producing butadiene synthetic rubber there causes concern of German Greens. The deputy minister expressed hope that in addition to markets in Asia, Russia and CIS countries, the Nairit plant will find new buyers in Europe as well.In a reference to Doghagorts (tire producing company), another factory that has recently resumed its operation, the minister said the factory will yield its first outcome in mid-April.
