Azat Posted October 28, 2001 Report Share Posted October 28, 2001 Armenia to offer factories in repayment of debt to Russia YEREVAN, Oct 27, 2001 (Itar-Tass via COMTEX) -- Agreements on economiccooperation between Russia and Armenia are to be signed in Moscow early inNovember, Serge Sarkisyan, Minister of Defence, Secretary of the NationalSecurity Council to the President of Armenia, announced here on Saturday night. Sarkisyan co-chairs the Armenian side in the intergovernmental commission foreconomic cooperation with Russia. Those documents will include an agreement on the transfer of Armenianenterprises to Russia or the establishment of joint-venture enterprises withRussia in repayment of the republic's debt to Moscow. Serge Sarkisyan said he he would meet with his Russian counterpart for theintergovernmental commission, Vice-Premier Ilya Klebanov, who will sign theagreements for Russia.
