(CNA). International Law Group (ILG) juridical company prepared for the Armenian population a standard sample of suit to the court against the telecommunication monopolist of Armenia - ArmenTel for the company addresses to its subscribers bills for per-minute local phone calls. The document was distributed on October 23 by Design Media advertising agency. The executive director of the Agency Gevorg Atanessian informed CNA that the Armenian citizens started addressing to the International Law Group (ILG) with request to draw up a suit. Taking into consideration the fact that most of citizens have no opportunity to enjoy the services of lawyers ILG decided to give the population this document free of charge. Thefore, the ILG addressed to Design Media with request to distribute the document. Some of radio stations in Armenia call upon the population of the state not to pay for local calls being guided by the decision of the Armenian Government, but not by the demands of telecommunication monopolist. 90% of the company shares belong to OTE Hellenic State Telecommunication Company. Other 10% are owned by the state. The government of the state in the person of Transport and Communications Minister Andranik Manukian prohibited introduction of this tariff, saying that it contradicts the laws acting in the state. CNA was informed from reliable sources that soon the Armenian government intends to undertake urgent measures for eliminating the problem and inform about its actions against ArmenTel. ---------------------------------© 2001 CNA/www.caspian.ru
