MosJan
KARABAGH’S RESTORATION PROGRAMS BEING IMPLEMENTEDOne of the main issues that Karabagh’s authorities face today is the restoration of Nagorno-Karabagh’s settlements and creation of social sub-structures. By support of ‘Hayastan’ All-Armenian Fund a number of programs aimed at construction and reconstruction of living houses, schools and hospitals are being implemented in Karabagh. A modern physics-mathematics school is built in Stepanakert- furnished with up-to-date equipment and computer technology. In the current year ‘Hayastan’ All-Armenian Fund plans to start construction works of republican hospital complex. The complex will also be furnished with modern equipment, and the program will cost about 3 million USD. Programs connected with living houses’ reconstruction are being mainly implemented in frontier villages. In Vaghuhas village of Mardakert region, where all the houses were destroyed during the Karabagh war, 67 houses are built and put in operation and 25 more houses are planned to be built. A new school is also built here. A similar program is being carried out in Haterk village, where 21 houses will be put in operation in near future. edward demian
reacently I read in Asbarez an article that claimed that a village Barekamavan) in the tavoush district very close to the azery border was loosing population. The reason being that their cattle was being stollen and sold accross the border. Water for irrigation and domestic use was also in short supply. How could the border be so easily penetrated by thieves transporting cattle? As far as the water problem. It cost me $4000.00 to drill a 225 food deep well, l6 inches diameter, with a 220V down hole pump. All the water I need. This was drilled through solid rock. Armenia has no shortage of water. You probably would run into ample water at 25 ft. A solar powered pump complete was priced to me for $1600.00 off the shelf. So what is going on?
