The Armenian Missionary Association of America (AMAA) was founded in 1918 and today has grown substantially, it has 3 headquarters or Centers of operations; in Eastern USA at Paramus, New Jersey; in Western USA at Glendale, California (this one opening in November 2013), and the third in Yerevan, Armenia and is located where the old Embassy of USA used to be, at small center of Yerevan. In Armenia "The AMAA started its operations with the distribution of relief supplies and medical programs. This was essential in those 'dark years' of the early 1990's when Armenia was experiencing severe economic conditions, and shortages of basic life necessities. In recent years, through various educational and development programs, the AMAA has been focusing on helping people earn their own living, be self-sufficient and thus preserve their dignity"

"AMAA is a non-profit charitable organization whose purpose is to serve the physical and spiritual needs of people everywhere, both at home and overseas. The AMAA is a nonsectarian Christian organization that renders its services to those in need without discrimination. To fulfill this worldwide mission, the AMAA maintains a range of educational, evangelistic, relief, social service, church, and child care ministries in twenty-four countries around the world and often partners with other relief agencies to aid disaster stricken areas throughout the world.
