BLOCKADES and BLOCKHEADS

I had been mulling over this subject for some time.

We had known right from the onset that Turkey's blockad of Armenia had nothing to do with war with Aazerbaijan.

Now we hear it from the source what we had known for a long time. Even Azerbaijan, one of the major actors of the "drama" has relations with Yerevan,

even if clandestine. Now it is official. The reason behind the "blockade". Turkey is known for her blatant lies but it seems they can also speak the truth only when it is ugly.

Please note the last paragraph (highlighted).

Another passage that catches one's fancy is; "both of which border Turkey".

We should see to it that they don't have a common border.

What blockheads!!

Turkey welcomes Azerbaijan-Armenia talks

Agence France Presse

August 14, 2002

ANKARA, Aug 14 -- Turkey welcomed on Wednesday peace talks between

its close ally Azerbaijan and Armenia over the disputed region of

Nagorno-Artsax.

The meeting between presidents Heidar Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Robert

Kocharian of Armenia, opened Wednesday in the Azeri region of

Nakhichevan. Turkish foreign ministry spokesman Yusuf Buluc told a

press conference that the summit between the two countries, both of

which border Turkey, was "a positive development."

After dozens of failed talks, there is growing support inside Azerbaijan

for sending in the army to take over Artsax, which Azeris claim was

illegally annexed by Armenia during a war in the early 1990s.

Ankara supports the position of Azerbaijan, whose people are of Turkic

origin.

"The problems between Azerbaijan and Armenia are obvious. There is

an invasion violating the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the

primary objective of our policy is an end to this invasion and the

restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity," Buluc said.

"We hope the meeting between the two leaders will constitute an

opportunity for taking steps in this direction," he added.

In contrast to its close bonds with Azerbaijan, Turkey does not have

diplomatic relations with Armenia.

Ankara has set the condition for such ties on the resolution of the

Nagorno-Artsax dispute and Yerevan's abandonment of an international

campaign for the recognition as "genocide" of mass killings of Armenians

under the Ottoman Empire in the early 1900s.

Turkey, the spoiled brat needs to learn a bitter lesson by tasting its own medicine. Blockade seems to be the game in town. Look at the map and tell us how Turkey has border with Aazerbaijan. It is only a narrow goose beak. How many armored vehicles will it take to see that they don't share a common border?

BLOCK THE BLOCKADE BLOCKHEADS???!!

Arpa, I think they mean Nakhichevan, which is official Azeri territory and it does share a fringe border with Turkey.

For me this article gives two more proofs:

1. Turkey quite obviously still has serious plans to expand its territory into Armenia in order to join itself with Azerbaijan,

2. Recognition of the Genocide by France made absolutely no difference regarding the denial of the Genocide in academic institutions and the media. Obviously the Turkish government, its embassies, lobbies and other political organizations still have their filthy hands on French institutions.

And finally, I entirely agree with you Arpa, and I think it has already been proven on numerous occasions, that Turkey is indeed blockading Armenia for its own filthy purposes, with little or nothing to do with Artsax.
