man Posted October 24, 2013 Report Share Posted October 24, 2013 Exploring Ways to Overcome Poor NutritionOctober 23, 2013Photos in link: http://blog.farusa.org/2013/10/23/healthcare-exploring-ways-to-overcome-poor-nutrition/ Efforts to kick off the healthcare component of FAR’s new project "Breaking the Cycle of Poverty", began earlier this month with the start of a clinical investigation at Berd Medical Center in Tavush marz. The program’s healthcare component focuses on identifying the most common problems linked to poor nutrition in children ages six months to six years, and also explore ways the education system can help to better provide children with access to balanced nutrition. The lab and pediatric departments of Berd Medical Center have received all needed equipment and supplies to carry out the study, and FAR’s Medical Program Coordinator Dr. Hambartzum Simonyan came to observe the start of the investigation.
