Pilafhead
I'm curious about communication on the Net vis-a-vis shyness [sounds like something Shamiram (aka Gayane) should be asking!]. I'm generally shy (as are my wife and son), however as a consultant, I've learned ways to deal with it.
LISA
I for one and not shy. I am conservative but not shy. I like making friends, telling jokes, laughing etc. I think I am only shy if I genuinely like someone. Otherwise, I treat everyone like my friend, unless/until they give me a reason not to. Arev
I am shy. Once I know a person better however I feel I can talk to them. Even writing on this forum makes me a little nervous. I don't want to give too much information about myself. I am trying to break this wall that I have put around myself. Can I really trust a stranger? Pilafhead
It IS good to be careful, but a lot personal information is harmless to the outside world. I'll post just about anything besides my address and social security number. You'll see though, different people here have different comfort levels. I think someone's level of caution should depend upon how vocal and controversial they are going to be about the "hot" Armenian topics (turks, ARF, ASALA, RoA Government, etc.) Maybe if I'm really lucky, I get an attractive akchig stalker here. Preferably Glendalatsi. Mike
Gayane
You know it, Mikey In terms of shyness on the net, I see no reason to be shy. I see no reason to be shy, period, whether it's on the net or otherwise. Express yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(can't you just see me shouting this out on a loudspeaker or something...lol)
Kazza
Yes! I consider myself to be a shy and bashful person.
Pilafhead
Really, Kaz? I wouldn't have guessed that about you. I imagined you just "normal". You know, not shy, but not boisterous.
edg
I am not a shy person at all. But when I came to US I was really shy for about 6 months until I got comfortable with my English skills. It ****ed not knowing how to speak in English.
