Ակոռիի Սուրբ Հակոբ վանքը հայկական վանքային համալիր էր պատմական Այրարատ նահանգում, ժամանակակից Թուրքիայի Իգդիր նահանգում, որը գտնվում է Ակոռիից 4.7 կմ հյուսիս-արևմուտք։ Կառուցվել է 341 թ-ին։ Ակոռի գյուղն այժմ անվանվում է Ագրի կամ Արգուրի, իսկ ժամանակին կոչվել է Ղարաքիլիսա և 1840 թ. ավերվել է երկրաշարժի հետևանքով և վերածվել ավերակների։ Հետագայում այն վերակառուցվել է և այժմ այն քրդական փոքր գյուղ է Յենիդողան անունով։

Պատմություն[

Վանքը հիմնվել է 341 թ. Հակոբ Մծբնացու` Մծբինի երկրորդ եպիսկոպոսի կողմից։ Այն կառուցվել է Հայկական թագավորության Այրարատ նահանգի Մասյացոտն գավառում` Արարատ լեռան հյուսիս-արևելյան լանջին։ Ասում են` վանքում եղել են Նոյան տապանի փայտի մասունքներ: 1840 թ. հուլիսի 2-ի հզոր երկրաշարժի հետևանքով ավերվեցին Սբ. Հակոբի վանքը, Ակոռիի հարևան գյուղում գտնվող Առաքելոց վանքը և գյուղն ամբողջությամբ։

Saint Hakob of Akori Monastery (Armenian: Ակոռիի Սուրբ Հակոբ վանք; pronounced Akori Surb Hakob Vank; also sometimes referred to as Saint James), was an Armenian monastery located in southeastern part of the Igdır Province of modern Turkey, which lies 4.7 kilometers southwest of Akori (modern Yenidoğan), a village at the northeastern slope of Mount Ararat. Ağrı or "Arguri" is the modern name of the village once known as Karakilise (meaning black church) that was destroyed by an earthquake and avalanche in 1840. It was later rebuilt and is known today as Yenidoğan or Ahora and remains a small Kurdish village.

We have spoken about this subject a million times, ad infinitum and ad nauseam, yet some of us still try to show us why our Sacred Mountain is aghri d*** by those other canines. Like, it means pain, crooked or white.**

But of course, we have more burning issues, to prove that the furkish name of stuffed grape leaves is from the Urartuan TOLI. STUPID!! If only that clown Sedrak knew how damaging his statement is, i.e saying that the furkish non-language is a dialect of the Urartian.

**The Armenian word agh/al as in salt, in fact means white. See words like aleher=white haired., as in alba/albino.
