His Literature tells us about 8-9 women, whom he loved and 2 of them became his wives. Let me tell you by name.-His 2 poppy loves, in Kars.-- Asdghig Ghontakhchian - Garine Kotanjian (whom he dedicated his ''Lousampopi bes Aghtchig'') - Lucy Tarayan-Arpenig Der Asdvadzaduryan (his 1st wife)- Armenouhi Dikranian (''Emale Profilu Tser'')-Izabella Niyazian (his 2nd wife - had 2 daughters, Arpenig (her name as membrance for his 1st wife) and Anahid Charents.- both girls are alive. One in US, other in Armenia, if I'm not wrong. Both did a lot to publish all their father's work. - Leyli- lots of letters written to this lady. - Miss Ayvazian - who ignored his love... and one day he was drunk (hava khosh), he shot on her by gun and injured her arm... (Is Russell the translator? I hope not, the man is a coldly arrogant bore - an "I did this, I did that, I visited Kars twice" type of person. Well I've visited Kars 25 times at least, and it is not a "grim and stifling place" like that idiot Russell says. And it didn't seem to do Charents any harm, nor Gurdjieff, nor me!)
