MosJan
Letter - Medea Kalognomos Commemorative program served everyone's ends Local Headlines Letter -- Robert Morrison Letter -- David C. Wilcox Letter -- James B. Weling Letter - Rosaleen Anderson Letter -- Ray Galloway more > I want to express my sincere gratitude to the mayor of the city of Glendale and his leadership for the excellent and thoughtful program on the commemoration of the 87th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Glendale is a better and a closer community today because of the event. The commemoration recognized and validated the deep pain carried by its Armenian citizens, while it educated others about the horrendous crime committed against humanity. The lowering of the flag, urged by some, would not have accomplished the understanding that was created in the community with the crime of genocide and the torturous pain carried in the hearts of the victims and their descendants, as much as did the compassionate, informative and educational commemorative programs.
