Beautiful 25 year old Sally Solomon has spent years running from

her family (and her own ethnic) history. But, when Sally's father

is murdered, she finds herself thrust into the middle of a vast

conspiracy that puts her and the young lawyer trying to defend her

against a large, powerful corporation hell bent on keeping secret its

own dark involvement in the Armenian Genocide. As Sally will learn -

history is a contact sport - and no one can hide from it. Great actors

are to perform in the movie called "The Genex", such as Al Pachino,

NEW ARMENIAN GENOCIDE FILM TO BE SCREENED IN 2015

The new film on the Armenian Genocide, Genex, is expected to appear

on the big screen on April 24, 2015 which marks the 100th anniversary

of the great tragedy.

 

Tert.am has learned that the National Cinema Center of Armenia recently

hosted a debate devoted to the movie. An expert of the Center, Zaven

Boyajyan told our correspondent that of they received 16 bids, of

which one is for Genex.

 

The director, Artak Sevada, apparently wishes the initiative to be a

joint production with Armenia but the Center has not made any decision

yet. The Armenian specialists are said to have got familiarized only

with a brief synopsis instead of the full film script. Of the 16

films submitted, only two appear to address the Genocide topic.

 

The authors dismiss the circulating reports about the participation

of such world-renowned stars as Lionardo Dicaprio or Al Pacino. A

statement on the film~Rs website says its trailer features episodes

of films starred by different actors

 

Sevada had earlier told the Armenian Public Television that Natalie

Portman and Asante Armant are going to star in the movie.

 

Speaking about the plot, the director said it will be beyond what

he described as a duduk format (duduk being the Armenian traditional

woodwind instrument) . The trailer background suggests that it focuses

on the American-Armenian criminal band, where the central figure is

an American woman who resolves dirty schemes of leading insurance

companies and financial organizations, the cases bearing an implicit

relationship with the Armenian Genocide.

 

It is noteworthy that Jesus Christ~Rs statement, the Truth will Make

you Free, has been selected as the film~Rs slogan.

The Genex: New movie on Armenian genocide to feature Hollywood stars, due for release in 2015

Plans for a new movie dedicated to the centennial of the Armenian Genocide have been revealed, with a number of Hollywood stars expected to be involved in the production.

 

Armenian director Artak Sevada reportedly plans the screening of the movie on April 24, 2015 when Armenians around the world will be marking the 100th anniversary of the start of the Ottoman Empire’s genocidal policy during World War I that resulted in the killings and deportations of some 1.5 million Armenians.

 

According to the synopsis of the movie published on its official website, it tells about a “beautiful 25-year-old woman”, Sally Solomon, who “has spent years running from her family (and her own ethnic) history.” “But, when Sally’s father is murdered, she finds herself thrust into the middle of a vast conspiracy that puts her and the young lawyer trying to defend her against a large, powerful corporation hell bent on keeping secret its own dark involvement in the Armenian Genocide. As Sally will learn – history is a contact sport – and no one can hide from it.”

 

Two Hollywood stars – Natalie Portman and Armand Assante – have already reportedly signed papers to be involved in the movie to be produced by EdgeArt Entertainment and Sevada Productions, with an expected budget of $30 million.

 

Several other Hollywood actors, including megastars Al Pacino and Leonardo DiCaprio, are featured in the conceptual trailer currently published on the official movie website: www.thegenex.com

 

The disclaimer above it, however, makes it clear that the video has been edited using various existing films “to present investors with the ideology of the film and its potential cast and crew.”

That video is just telling us the concept of the movie, the script is not written nor decided. The clips are taken from other movies like Al Pacino is from Jack Kevorkian's movie and the rest is from other movies.

ARTAK SEVADA URGES TO STOP SPREADING "THE GENEX" UNOFFICIAL TRAILER

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 13, ARMENPRESS. The author of "The GENEX" movie

dedicated to the Armenian Genocide urges to stop spreading the

unofficial trailer of the movie immediately. In a conversation with

"Armenpress" the director, co-author, and producer of the movie stated

that the so-called "official trailer" of "The GENEX" was not made by

EdgeArt Entertainment Inc.

 

Among other things Mr. Sevada noted: "All the unofficial video

materials on the movie do not introduce "The GENEX" and should be

immediately removed from the internet. Certain individuals and

organization has copied the trailer from Youtube, which was made to

encourage the investors, and it was represented as a comprehensive and

serious work. It is in no way official trailer introducing the movie."

 

The author of the movie asked to take no notice of such video content

until Youtube video hosting removes them in accordance with the

complaint of the authors.
