khodja Posted May 9, 2002 Report Share Posted May 9, 2002 Turkish foreign ministry is jumping up and down over a mural in the Paris subways equating the Turkish military chief with Gaddafi and Saddam Hussein. Communication with French officials over this so-called insult to Turkish honor. Threats of cutting off business dealings. Turks are bullying again, not over an Armenian issue but a Kurdish one. There is very little scrutiny of the true Turkey by the Western press. They are essentially getting a free ride to present themselves in a positive light, when the truth is that Turkey is essentially a military dictatorship.
